About EASA Part-66 Module 10 — Aviation Legislation

Module 10, Aviation Legislation, is one of the two subjects every EASA Part-66 licence applicant studies regardless of category: Appendix I to Part-66 marks it for categories A, B1, B2, B2L, B3 and C, and 66.A.25 requires applicants to demonstrate their knowledge of it by examination.

Since Regulation (EU) 2023/989 became applicable on 12 June 2024, the module runs to ten sub-modules, three of them new: 10.4 Independent certifying staff, 10.8 Oversight principles in continuing airworthiness, and 10.10 Cybersecurity in aviation maintenance. This course follows the current ten-sub-module syllabus in full — the lesson list above mirrors it topic for topic, from 10.1 Regulatory framework through 10.10 Cybersecurity in aviation maintenance.

This course contains no exam and no pass mark — it ends with a completion certificate. The official Module 10 examination is a separate step, taken with a competent authority or a Part-147 approved organisation, never with MOST.AERO; this course delivers the knowledge preparation online, at your own pace.

Who typically takes this course:

The course is delivered as presentation slides with voice-over across 11 lessons, with instant access after purchase and a same-day digital certificate on completion. For the syllabus in regulatory detail, see the guides linked under Further reading below.

Where this certificate is accepted

EASA does not approve individual training courses, online or classroom. Under point 145.A.30(e) the maintenance organisation decides, through the procedures in its MOE, which training meets its competency standard, and the competent authority accepts that MOE. That applies to Part-145 organisations in every EASA member state and, under UK Part-145 and SI 2023/588, in the United Kingdom. Read Is online HF, FTS and EWIS training accepted? before you buy for a team. The Part-66 basic knowledge examination is sat separately with a Part-147 organisation or the competent authority; this course prepares for it and contains no examination.
