About Safety Training Including Human Factors — Initial
EASA Part-145 makes safety training including human factors an organisational requirement: 145.A.30(e) requires the maintenance organisation to ensure the competence of its personnel, and AMC4 145.A.30(e)(b) expects initial safety training compliant with the organisation’s training standards before staff start the job function — new, directly employed personnel working under direct supervision may be trained within 6 months of joining. For certifying staff and support staff, 145.A.35(d) makes the two-year training rhythm a rule rather than guidance.
The UK requirement carries the same wording: SI 2023/588 wrote 145.A.30(e) and 145.A.35(d) into UK Part-145, in force from 1 July 2024, with the CAA as competent authority. This course follows the safety and human factors topics of GM1 145.A.30(e), and the same programme is referenced for continuing airworthiness organisations in GM2 CAMO.A.305(g).
Who typically takes this course:
- Certifying staff and support staff of EASA and UK Part-145 organisations
- Mechanics, technicians, planners, stores and quality or compliance monitoring staff within the organisation’s safety training scope
- Staff joining a Part-145 organisation who need initial safety training before starting the job function
- CAMO staff whose organisation applies GM2 CAMO.A.305(g)
After the initial course, further safety training including human factors is expected in each 2-year period (AMC4 145.A.30(e)) — our continuation course serves that cycle. Note that passing Part-66 Module 9 does not replace the organisation’s safety training programme: the two overlap in content but sit under different rules.
The course is delivered as presentation slides with voice-over across 12 lessons, with instant access after purchase and a same-day digital certificate on completion. For the regulatory detail, see the guides linked under Further reading below.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Who is most.aero?
most.aero is a virtual aviation training platform developed by Aeroviser offering premium virtual aviation training courses complying with applicable requirements and regulations for online completion.
-
Are your certificates valid worldwide?
All our courses are developed by qualified aviation professionals and compliant with applicable syllabus requirements. We have numerous clients worldwide, all of whom accept our certificates. However, it is up to the organization whether to accept training certificates. All syllabus is available within each course description. There is no EASA prescribed organisation approval to deliver such training courses. Those courses are all outside of the scope of EASA 147 Aproval.
-
How do your courses look like?
All courses on this platform are developed by qualified and experienced aviation professionals by following the requirements defined in aviation legislations. All courses contain premium quality presentation slides with voice over.
-
Is human factors training mandatory in a Part-145 organisation?
Yes. 145.A.30(e) requires the organisation to ensure the competence of its personnel, and AMC4 145.A.30(e) expects safety training including human factors for the staff it lists — initial training before starting the job function, then further training in each 2-year period. For certifying staff and support staff, 145.A.35(d) makes the 2-year requirement a rule rather than guidance.
-
Does this course cover both EASA and UK CAA requirements?
The syllabus follows GM1 145.A.30(e), which is common to EASA and UK Part-145: SI 2023/588 wrote the EU wording of 145.A.30(e) and 145.A.35(d) into UK law, in force from 1 July 2024. Acceptance of any training course rests with your organisation and its competent authority through the MOE.
-
Does passing Part-66 Module 9 replace this training?
No. Module 9 is a licensing examination under 66.A.25; safety training under 145.A.30(e) is an organisational requirement with its own syllabus in GM1 145.A.30(e) and a 2-year continuation cycle. The content overlaps, but neither substitutes for the other.
-
What do I receive when I complete the course?
A digital certificate is emailed the same day you complete the course. Your certificate page also includes one-click options to add the certificate to your LinkedIn profile or share it with your network.
-
Is this Part-145 human factors training the initial course?
Yes. It is the initial safety training including human factors described in AMC4 145.A.30(e), for staff who do not yet hold a certificate. Staff who already hold an initial certificate take the continuation course, which is listed separately on this store at €49.
-
Can Part-145 human factors training be done online?
AMC4 145.A.30(e) does not prescribe a delivery method. It names the maintenance organisation itself, independent trainers, or training organisations acceptable to the competent authority as providers, and the organisation writes its chosen method into the MOE. This course is online and self-paced; your organisation records it under its MOE procedure.

Where this certificate is accepted
EASA does not approve individual training courses, online or classroom. Under point 145.A.30(e) the maintenance organisation decides, through the procedures in its MOE, which training meets its competency standard, and the competent authority accepts that MOE. That applies to Part-145 organisations in every EASA member state and, under UK Part-145 and SI 2023/588, in the United Kingdom.
